NAMKOO 10KW Wind And 15KW Solar Project In Nigeria
In mid-2022, a Nigerian customer contacted us at Namkoo Power through a referral from a local friend, wanting a solar system to run a household load.
According to the customer's feedback, the desire for the development of solar power was urgent due to the severe undersupply of electricity for industrial and domestic use in Nigeria, where more than half of the population, and more than two thirds of the population in rural areas, do not have access to regular electricity supply.
Before designing the solar power system for the client, the engineer learned the following information from the client.
1. Got the google address of the client where the solar system was to be installed (to be able to check the average sunshine hours in the area accurately)
2. Asked the customer about the electrical load and local voltage of the home (to design a suitable inverter for operation)
3. Need to to know the customer if the solar panels are to be installed on the ground or on the roof (different mounting brackets for the solar panels depending on the installation location)
After receiving the information from the client, Namkoo Power's structural and electrical engineers provided the client with a complete design for the 25KW off-grid solar power system. The customer also mentioned that he wanted to have a 24-hour power supply, so we recommended that the system be combined with a wind turbine generator. (as the wind speed in Nigeria is good also)
After seeing our proposal, the client was satisfied with the 25KW wind and solar hybrid system. After confirming the design drawings, we provided the client with a diagram of the electrical connection of the complete system and a schematic diagram of the solar panel mounting structure.
After one month of production and one month of transportation, the customer received the goods in perfect condition. The Namkoo 25KW wind and solar hybrid system was successfully installed with the help of the installation diagrams drawn up by the engineers and the guidance of the local engineers.
The customer's feedback was that it was perfectly suited to his 24-hour electricity needs.
The solar power generation has relieved the severe shortage of electricity supply. Solar power is safe and reliable and will not suffer from energy crises or unstable fuel markets, while not having to transmit over long distances reduces operating costs and avoids the loss of long transmission lines.
